Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill Travel Humidor 20 Cigars 

The Cigar

Originally destined for exclusive sale through Travel Retail channels in 2021, a limited number of these stylish portable humidors are now available for sale in the UK domestic market.

When purchased as a box each branded humidor complete with built-in hygrometer comes with 20 Wide Churchill cigars. Each single cigar sports the classic bands that dress this vitola with an additional band on the foot to distinguish them from standard presentation formats.

Since its launch in 2010, the Wide Churchill measuring 5 1/4” (130mm) x 55 ring gauge has become a firm favourite among aficionados who enjoy the saporous medium bodied Romeo y Julieta blend in a wide gauge format.

The Diplomaticos Leal is the latest Regional Edition Cigar to be manufactured exclusively for the Cuban market, and is the seventh regional edition for the Cuban Market

Originally intended as a 2021 release, the Diplomaticos Leal finally made its debut in early 2024 at the Habanos Cigar Festival. 

Each 10-count dress box echoes the esteemed Diplomaticos Excelencia, Cuba’s 2015 Regional Edition. Despite a pandemic-induced delay, the Leal honors the late Cuban historian Eusebio Leal Spengler.

Description

Bolivar Silver Jubilee 2017 RE Hong Kong is part of only 2,500 numbered cabinets. An incredible cigar that is perfect to smoke on a sunny evening.

The Bolívar is a rather peculiar vitola because it has a 109-style cap, which is a hybrid between a normal round parejo and a tapered belicoso. Rather than coming to a point, the 109-style caps create a softer taper. It’s a cap that Habanos S.A. has typically used on much larger cigars and thanks to increasing popularity, many non-Cuban manufacturers have used it on other sizes.

Montecristo Supremos Limited Edition 2019

The Cigar 

Habanos Limited Editions are highly appreciated and anticipated by cigar enthusiasts every year, and even more so when this is a new vitola from one of the world’s benchmark Habano brands. 

The Montecristo Supremos is the first of the much anticipated 2019 Habanos Limited Edition to be released in the UK. It is presented in a bespoke, Montecristo yellow box of 25 cigars and shares it’s dimensions with the ever-popular Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill, measuring 5 ¼” (130mm) and with a ring gauge of 55.

This is the 10th time that Montecristo, the world’s best selling Havana brand, has been called upon to produce a prestigious Limited Edition and no other brand has produced more.

Within the Limited Edition series, which began in 2000 and can now boast of having over 60 releases, there are just three cigars with a larger diameter than the Montecristo Supremos.

This medium to full bodied cigar provides an hour or so of the classic ‘tangy’ Montecristo taste, with the dark wrapper providing a slightly sweet top taste to the blend and the extra ageing of all the leaves ensuring a rounded, smooth smoke.

Nonetheless it is a fantastic cigar and a great way to mark the 80th anniversary of the world’s most popular Havana brand. This cigar is already a collector’s item and is, unusually, presented in boxes of 20.
