Romeo’s time honoured star size. The vitola dates from the early 20th century. Churchill permitted his name to be used on it from the mid 1950s. Imposing, statesmanlike; a commanding size that rewards the smoker with richly developing flavours.

Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill

For too long there was no robusto in Romeo’s range, so the arrival of the Short Churchill in 2006 proved most welcome. It was the first medium flavoured cigar from Cuba in this popular vitola. Hardly surprising, then that it has been a huge success.

It could be said that this cigar is an antecedent to the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill, a 2006 release and fellow Robusto size. From the Short Churchill came the Wide Churchill and then followed the Petit Churchill. An interesting footnote in the emergence of the Churchill linea.

Romeo y Julieta Duke Limited Edition 2009

The same size as the Partagas Serie E No.2 the impressive Duke was well placed to deliver the rounded, subtle aroma of the R&J blend. It may have initially taken a little while to capture the imagination of UK cigar smokers but it became a highly sought-after and well respected cigar. The price has already doubled according to some sources.

Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill Travel Humidor 20 Cigars

Originally destined for exclusive sale through Travel Retail channels in 2021, a limited number of these stylish portable humidors are now available for sale in the UK domestic market.

When purchased as a box each branded humidor complete with built-in hygrometer comes with 20 Wide Churchill cigars. Each single cigar sports the classic bands that dress this vitola with an additional band on the foot to distinguish them from standard presentation formats.
