Habanos S.A. has announced that in celebration of the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary, the Cuban cigar giant is bringing back the Trinidad Robustos Extra.
Habanos S.A. discontinued the Robustos Extra in 2012 but announced in 2020 that it would come back in limited form for the travel and duty-free retail channels, meaning you could find the cigars in airports but not at traditional cigar stores.
Trinidad is taking the spotlight at this year’s event, as Habanos is feting the brand’s 55th anniversary. Fans will remember the Robusto Extra size (6 1/8 inches long by 50 ring), which was discontinued and then brought back as a duty-free exclusive. Habanos has repositioned the Robusto Extra once again, and this time it’s coming back into regular production, sold in 12-count and three-count boxes.
