Originally release in 2010, this medium-bodied cigar, 5¼” (130mm) x 55 ring gauge, instantly became a favourite among cigar smokers across the world. Now firmly established as a modern classic it is available in an elegant, lacquered slide-lid wooden box for the first time.
Herman Upmann was a banker from Germany who so loved Cuban cigars that he moved to Havana in 1844 and set up as both banker and cigar maker. His bank closed in the early 1920’s but his cigars live on as a fine example of an elegant, light to medium flavoured Habano.
H. Upmann’s blend is composed exclusively of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone.
Gold medals in no less than eleven international exhibitions during the 19th Century can be found on the brand’s labelled boxes.
The introduction of the Magnum 50 marks a milestone in the history of H. Upmann. Announced by Habanos S.A. in February at the 2008 Festival del Habano in Havana, production is now in full swing and the Magnum 50 is a fine favouite among many cigar smokers!
Measuring 6½” (165mm) x 50 ring gauge, this vitola was first seen as a maduro wrapped Limited Edition release in 2005. The Magnum 50 joins the Magnum 46 (5 5/8″ X 46 ring gauge), introduced 25 years ago, to form an important series of heavy girth H.Upmann vitolas in line with the preference of today’s cigar enthusiasts.
Now firmly established as a modern classic it is available in an elegant, lacquered slide-lid wooden box for the first time.
A Montecristo Edmundo (9¼ x 47) presented in an individual slide lid wooden box.
The Montecristo A, Cuban cigar is the Emperor of cigars and definitely for the more experienced smoker. The Cigar has a silky smooth wrapper and a perfect draw. It is full-bodied with aromas of earth and damp wood, the cigar progresses quite forcefully and ends in a rich heady haze and can be smoked down to the last inch without any foul flavours. To appreciate the cigar and gain the maximum pleasure it must be smoked slowly. This cigar can only be appreciated and enjoyed by an experienced smoker who is comfortable with a large intense smoke. If you are new to the cigar world a Montecristo may suit but we would recommend trying a smaller cigar initially and working your way up.
This full-bodied cigar, 5½” (140mm) x 52 ring gauge, instantly became a favorite among cigar smokers across the world. Now firmly established as a modern classic it is available in an elegant, lacquered slide-lid wooden box for the first time.
This full-bodied cigar, 5½” (140mm) x 52 ring gauge, is the only figurado in the Bolivar line, which is probably why it registers as the strongest smoke across the brand. The fairly heavy ring gauge provides an abundance of smoke while the tapered head concentrates it before it reaches the palate, resulting in an elementally earthy smoke, heavy in minerals, raw cocoa, and coffee bean. But the tapered head also adds a piquancy to the already full-bodied cigar. Just beautiful, a classic in every sense. Now available in an elegant, lacquered slide-lid wooden box for the first time. Great gift for a cigar connoisseur!
