Off to the Festival in Havana

Well it’s that time of the year again, its the 14th Habanos Festival. Someone has to do it, go to Cuba to taste all the new Cuban cigars they are going to release this year. Also to find out what is planned for 2014 -2015.

The opening event will be dedicated to the Cohiba brand. So we are looking forward to that.

On Wednesday 29th there will a dinner to commemorate the 520th anniversary of the discovery of tobacco in Cuba by the Europeans.

The closing of the Festival will take place on Friday evening, March 2nd, with the Gala Dinner dedicated to Romeo y Julieta brand, and the Traditional Humidor Auction for the benefit of the Cuban Public Health System. It will be the Romeo y Julieta Churchill Reserva which is going to be in Black boxes of 20’s. It’s been a while since Habanos has brought out the Reserva series, well over due. If this is done correct we should we a cigar which is going to taste, creamy, caramel, toasty with a refined flavour.
